On April 25, the Ocean Viking rescues 94 people from a rubber boat in distress in the Libyan Search and Rescue Region following an alert from Alarm Phone. After the rescue, survivors reported twelve people missing after having fallen overboard few hours following their departure from the coast.

On May 3, a patient is medically evacuated from Ocean Viking onto an Italian Coast guard vessel.
On May 4, ITMRCC calls Ocean Viking with instructions to proceed to Pozzallo, Sicily, to disembark 294 remaining survivors.
On May 5, the disembarkation process starts.
On May 6, the 2-day disembarkation process is complete. All 294 survivors have disembarked.
